Visitor Ready is a regional capability project developed by Out of the Square in collaboration with the Newcastle Tourism Industry Group. Built under the Region Ready platform, it highlights the people, places, and potential that make Newcastle and the Hunter ready for the next wave of visitors be that local, national, and global.

The visitor economy plays an important role in The Hunter’s economy, spanning from tourism, accommodation, hospitality, transport, experiences – there is a good chance businesses are in the visitor economy, they just don’t know it.

With international flights connecting Newcastle and The Hunter region to the world, it is time to align, activate, and accelerate. Visitor Ready profiles the organisations, operators, and communities driving the visitor economy forward across tourism, hospitality, events, infrastructure, and beyond.
